When I saw these CHANEL tights and tiara come down the runway at their respective collection’s shows, it was love at first sight. I pretty much instantly texted my SA that I needed (ok, wanted) them in my life and lucky for me, she was able to snag both pieces for me as soon as they came out. I’ll be totally honest, it’s pretty harrowing to put on these tights. Every time I wear them, I live in fear of sticking a long nail right through them or snagging them. But I love them so much that it’s well worth the fashion risk. Fortunately, I have no such issue with the tiara. This is such a fun piece and it’s surprisingly versatile. I love that it can be worn more as a headband for a bit more of a subdued look but with a simple repositioning, it becomes an all out tiara.
As for this look, while I didn’t plan it at the time, it has major 90s Courtney Love vibes and I am here for it. Teenage me had such a girl crush on Courtney Love’s style in the late 90s. I loved how she mixed tiaras and feminine little silk slip dresses into the grunge style that dominated the decade. Throw in Liv Tyler’s style in Empire Records and you have my ultimate teenage style goals. I really love that the 90s has been having a bit of a fashion comeback but it also feels pretty surreal to think this era is now considered vintage!
While I wasn’t able to find this exact pair of CHANEL tights online, I have linked similar pairs below as well as similar items to achieve this full look via the widget below.
