As per my promise in Monday’s article detailing the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection, today’s article will be giving you a dedicated look at the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2021 Accessories.
While the runway saw the return of many beloved classic bag styles, the mini bag truly held centerstage. Done in all sorts of fabrications and styles, the mini bag is even interpreted as bijoux in the form of long pendant necklaces. A particular standout of the many beautiful bags is a stunning lattice version of the classic flap that will surely become a collector’s piece.
On the subject of bijoux, there are decadent plastron style necklaces as well as sautoirs that beg to be layered with ropes of pearls that feature throughout both as necklaces and as bag straps. Bracelets are interpreted as both cuffs and bangles, and are adorned with pearls and other embellishments that are part of the House’s DNA. And as for shoes, they seem to be a subtle nod to the silver screen glamour of the 1930s that is referenced in the collection. Done both as a very low stacked sandal and as a beautiful t-strap, they are feminine without being cloying.
Finally, and I would be remiss in not mentioning these two particular pieces, there are two delicate head pieces that I can only hope go into production. One is a logo headband and the other is a black netted headpiece that is pure glamour.
For those interested in any of the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2021 accessories, I would suggest passing on your wish-list to your sales associate now. These pieces will undoubtably be incredibly popular and if past seasons are any indication, items fly off the boutique shelves as soon as they’re released. I personally have my eye of the aforementioned logo headband (pictured below) and am keeping my fingers crossed that the incredible sales associate that I shop with will be able to snag it for me!
