It’s no secret, the Ritz Paris is one of my absolute favourite places. My stay there was nothing short of magical. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t still sad over my cancelled stay that was supposed to happen at the beginning of all of this Covid madness. While I know I’ll be back, hopefully sooner rather than later, I’ll still be pining away for the magical hotel on Place Vendôme. Looking back at my first stay at this incredible property, one of the highlights was a visit to CHANEL AU Ritz Paris.
Arguably the most beautiful spa I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting, CHANEL AU Ritz Paris is pure luxury and decadence. The decor is inspired by the codes, symbols, and styles of the House of CHANEL. There are also design nods to Gabrielle Chanel’s apartment that sits atop the original CHANEL boutique that is quite literally around the corner at 31 rue Cambon. It is incredibly fitting that CHANEL partnered with the Ritz Paris to create CHANEL AU Ritz Paris. Beyond being neighbours, there is a deeply intertwined history between Gabrielle Chanel and the Ritz Paris. While she spent her days at 31 rue Cambon, she retired to her palatial suite at the Ritz Paris at night. In fact, that suite has been restored with incredible care and attention to detail, and is one of the handful of spectacular prestige suites the Ritz Paris offers.
CHANEL AU Ritz Paris offers a carefully curated selection of facial, massage, and body treatments as well as makeup application. All products used are by CHANEL and the therapists are impeccably trained. My mother and I decided booking a massage would be the perfect way to pamper ourselves after transatlantic travel and some very full days exploring Paris.
We were warmly greeted by the reception staff, and after filling out the requisite pre-treatment forms, were introduced to our therapists and ushered to our treatment room. We were shown to the 2.55 room, a stunning space where two people can receive treatments at the same time, and were tucked into sumptuous treatment beds. La MASSAGE de CHANEL combines Eastern and Western techniques resulting in a treatment that is pure perfection. Our therapists further tailored the massage to each of our specific needs and wants, resulting in each of us receiving a perfect massage.
Following our treatment, we were invited to lounge in the relaxation space tucked on a balcony above the beautiful pool of the Ritz Club Paris. After a bit more of relaxation on the plush loungers there, we blissfully floated back to our room to enjoy a quiet evening of room service and movies.
Needless to say, my visit to CHANEL AU Ritz Paris did not disappoint. In fact, while I’m dreaming of the day I can re-book my canceled stay from last April, I’ll also be dreaming of what treatment to book on that return visit. I’m thinking a facial will be in order!
