I frequently talk about closet staples and what pieces makeup the basis of a great wardrobe. However, the two items that consistently top my list of must-haves have always been a pair of skinny black jeans and a black turtleneck. Not only do these two items pair together perfectly, they’re also wonderful pieces to build countless other looks around. These jet black jeans from Fidelity are a particular favorite of mine, not just in my own wardrobe but of all the styles the brand offers. They’re a midrise jean, so they sit comfortably above the hips which makes for a very flattering fit on all body types. Additionally, their slim leg and true black coloring also make for a totally flattering…
Preppy in Fidelity Denim
As I mentioned in my last post, since getting pregnant I’ve largely had an aversion to pants, especially those that are not of the yoga variety. However, the few pairs of jeans that I’ve found myself reaching for have all been from Fidelity Denim. Because of that, I’m so excited to have teamed up with this killer Los Angeles based brand to share two looks featuring two totally different styles from their Fall/Winter collection. With their mantra being “Devoted to Denim,” I always know that I’m guaranteed not only a perfect fit and perfectly on trend styles but also quality denim and quality construction with this brand…
#PARKALOVE with Aritzia
I’ll admit I’m wearing pretty much the most inappropriate footwear in this post. I’ll also admit that there’s a big fuzzy pair of snow-boots just outside of this frame. However, the parka that I’m wearing is totally appropriate and thanks to Aritzia, at least part of my outfit won’t elicit an overly worried for my health call from my mother…
Shopping Day
I’ll let you in on a little secret darlings, there was actually a rather large puffy coat that went over this look so that I could shop without coming down with a spot of hypothermia. During the winter months when you see a post with me going sans-coat, it’s safe to assume there’s the above mentioned large puffy coat right outside of the frame. Usually draped on an indulgent photographer or Darling Husband…
Belle Du Jour with CHRLDR
There’s something about the combination of ripped jeans and high heels that’s just so right. Maybe it’s the contrast of the femininity of the heels and the roughness of distressed denim or maybe it’s just one of my little sartorial eccentricities like yeti vests and obnoxious bows. That being said, this combination paired with one of my other favorite fashion duos, t-shirts and blazers, makes for a pretty much perfect outfit for me…
Roger Vivier Clutch and How to Look Great in Photographs
For this week’s FASHION Magazine Style Panel challenge, my fellow panelists and I weighed in on our top tips for looking great in photographs. While the handful of photos that make it into each post may look great (or at least I hope so!), there’s also quite a few that turn out totally wonky and majorly unflattering. From derpy faces…
