Earlier this week I had the pleasure of hosting an intimate evening for some of my favorite media ladies to discover what has become one of my favorite stores in Canada. Maska is not only an amazing family owned business that has been around for over twenty years, it’s also helmed by pretty much the most fashionable and fabulous mother-daughter duo. Thanks to buying trips to Italy every 3 weeks, the store always has a fresh and fashion forward selection of gorgeous pieces straight from Europe. One of the things I love about Maska is that since many of the designers they carry are exclusive to their stores…
Shades of Grey
I know it might seem a little silly to be wearing a leather jacket but this gorgeous piece by LAMARQUE was just too beautiful not to share, especially since it paired with the rest of this look so perfectly. Also, thanks to the flip-flopping weather here in Montreal, you can actually get away with wearing a leather jacket well into June. I scooped this piece up at their most recent sample sale and I’ve worm it like crazy ever since. The buttery soft leather is the perfect shade of grey that has the ability to match pretty much everything I own…
Joe Fresh Dress and LOVEthatBAG News
Great news darlings! LOVEthatBAG is having another pop-up event and this time it’s being hosted at their beautiful new showroom. Not only will you be able to shop this elegant Ferragamo bag but also so many other amazing styles as well. There’s even some surprise bags that will be making their debut at the sale so you’ll have the chance to shop them before they have a chance to hit the site and they’ll all be 10% off! In addition, Own the Couture will also be there with some beautiful designers pieces that you can scoop up for a fraction of the retail cost…
ASOS Florals
Darling Husband and I recently went down to Philadelphia for the wedding of one of my favorite cousins. The wedding was held on the beautiful grounds of the Valley Forge Military Academy where he teaches and the party lasted well into the early morning hours. A note on my father’s side of the family: they’re big, Irish, loving, loud, and love a good party. My aforementioned cousin and his brother have been like brothers to me and because of that, they never liked the guys I dated until they met Darling Husband…
Graphic GUESS
This awesome top by GUESS is one of those rare items that I think Darling Husband is going to hate and he actually ends up loving. I’m guessing it’s because of the oh so subtle but no less alluring little hint of skin the top shows off right above my jeans. It’s only the littlest bit but it’s much more then I would normally wear. I love a good crop top on others but it’s one item that I haven’t yet embraced for myself. However, with these subtle little slits on either side of the top, I’m able to show just the right amount of skin without looking like I’m desperately trying to hold on to my twenties…
GUESS Dress
There are few things in the fashion world more iconic than GUESS jeans so of course I had to incorporate a bit of this famous denim into my look for hosting the event the other week. Since there’s still a little nip in the air here in Montreal, I decided to layer this amazingly versatile jean shirt over one of their new S/S maxi dresses. Paired with a killer (and shockingly comfortable) pair of GUESS heels and this amazing Chanel bag from LOVEthatBAG, it made for my version of a perfect hostess outfit…
