For my bridal shower on Saturday, I wore this vibrant one shoulder dress by Jay Godfrey. I’m a huge fan of the line, I have a few pieces from previous seasons and this dress was the perfect purchase to wear for the shower. Paired with this delicate and romantic pair of Louboutin’s from a few seasons ago, the look was simple but elegant. The circlet of flowers was another one of my mother’s thoughtful and totally charming surprise touches to make the weekend even more special. The only thing that could have made the weekend even more perfect was if Darling Fiance had been able to come down to Philly with me, he and my mother tried to pull it off but unfortunately it just wasn’t possible. Pictured below are my two maids-of-honor (Loren and Julie) and one of my bridesmaids (Simah). We all met thanks to joining the same sorority at American University. Julie, Loren, and I were pledge sisters and Simah is my little sister. Translation for my international readers….Julie, Loren, and I went through the initiation process together and Simah is a year younger than me and I acted as a mentor/big sister to her within the sorority. Silly as the sorority concept might be (Darling Fiance as a real Greek doesn’t really get the concept of Greek life), it allowed me to meet some of my best friends.
