Blue Mod

June 19, 2012

I love the 60s mod style of Twiggy, Edie Sedgwick, and Penelope Tree. While they might have paired this little dress with a pair of white go-go boots, these heels that I picked up in two other colors match the colors of the pattern perfectly. A little mini dress like this is a perfect summer option with either a pair of heels like this or a sweet little pair of ballet flats for a more Audrey Hepburn approach to dressing. I find that I’m much more inspired by women of decades past then the current trendy celebrity du jour. Looking back at photos of Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Grace Kelly, their sartorial choices seem timeless while photos of assorted popular pop tarts look dated only a year later. Where do you find your style inspiration darlings?

Dress: H&M

Shoes: Breckelle’s

Bracelets: Kenneth Jay Lane, Vintage

I enjoy long walks through Neiman Marcus, red soled shoes, skinny black pants, oversized cocktail rings, obnoxious bows, nipped waists and full skirts.
