Darling Boyfriend and I are born two days apart with him on the 2nd and me on the 4th of July, this being quite convenient for never letting him forget he’s older than me even if it is my a mere two days. To start the birthday festivities off, we went for a picnic on Mount Royal last weekend which gave me the perfect opportunity to wear this gorgeous Betsey Johnson sundress that he gave me as part of my birthday gift. Betsey Johnson dresses have for a long time marked birthdays for me. For many years my mother and father have given me one as their birthday gift to me. For a while they used to attempt to give me something “meaningful” on my birthdays but quickly came to the realization that a gorgeous new addition to my closet is pretty meaningful to me. The dresses that my parents have given me not only are beautiful pieces but I will forever associate wonderful memories with them, hence me needing a second bedroom to store all my clothing in.
