Fun fact: Darling Husband has recently compared me to Tony Soprano thanks to my occasional heavy breathing brought on by the fact that madam has squished all of my organs as to make herself a comfy home. As long as one of us is comfortable.
Before getting pregnant, I was a pretty active person. Having spent a healthy chunk of my life in a ballet studio, I’ve always enjoyed being pretty fit. After hanging up my pointe shoes at the age of 18, I still take classes for fun even if it takes a little (who am I kidding, a lot) more effort to get my arabesque where it once was. Throw in some pilates, TRX, and an occasional run on the treadmill and you have my workout routine.
All of that went out the window when I got pregnant. Between total exhaustion and added weight that has slowed me down significantly, my gym days have gone the way of the dodo. More power to you ladies who keep up your regular workout routines, you have my respect and admiration. However, since exercise is important for a healthy pregnancy and delivery, I’ve been focusing on getting in as many walks as possible. Now that Montreal is actually starting to defrost, I’ve been enjoying the city and doing so in some of my favorite BENCH pieces.
