Hello darlings, I thought I’d share with you my current favorite beauty products. I usually leave the beauty product reviews to the super fabulous Eugenia over at Ommorphia Beauty Bar, she’s pretty much the polish queen of the internet, but I couldn’t resist sharing these great finds with you. First up, the most perfect red lipstick that I’ve ever come across. From the luxe cosmetic and skin care company Chantecaille, Cerise is a perfectly creamy paraban free lipstick that I’ve been wearing non-stop since I picked it up the last time I was in Philly. Paired with Lipstick Queen Invisible Liner, these two products are stellar for creating the perfect bold red lip.
My preferred fragrance this summer, when I remember to spritz some on, has been Pure Rose by Intermix. With its delicate rose scent, it’s the perfect light summer fragrance. Have no fear, even though it smells of roses there’s no undertone of old lady. For my nails I’m loving these fun and aquatic shades, Blue Boy from Chanel and Waterlily from Dior. Extra points for the Dior have a subtly sweet scent to it instead of the typical chemical smell that comes with nail polish.
This face mask from the cult French skin care line Biologique Recherche is in one word AMAZING. In fact, the entire line of Biologique products are amazing. Another word that describes this miracle mask, stinky. Darling Fiance wont sit next to me when I have this on, he insists I smell like a dirty garden. Honestly, the smell isn’t that bad at all but it does take some getting used to. The Masque Vivant is a product that I use almost every night before bed. It’s perfect for cleaning out clogged pores and generally keeping your skin in top condition. I actually use quite a few products from the line and it’s the only line of products that I find highly effective and totally transformative for my skin. As for the cute little pink spongy thing, it’s my new favorite tool for applying concealer. The Beauty Blender is great for creating a totally smooth look and perfect for combating the cakey look that occur with some foundations and concealers.
The Moroccan Oil line isn’t that new of a product but I can’t say enough great things about the Restorative Mask. I use it year round since I highlight my hair but it’s the perfect product for nourishing your hair after summer days spent at the pool or beach. I usually leave it on longer then the suggested 5-7 minutes and find that the longer I let the product sit, the softer my hair is after I was it out. Another great product that I’ve been recently turned onto is the aptly named Mythic Oil from L’Oreal Professionnel. The shine and softness that I get from this product is unmatched. Run, don’t walk to pick up this product right away. As for these hair ties from Twist Band, they sucked me in from their sparkle but hooked me for their ability to hold my ponytail even after back-to-back spinning and TRX classes. I picked them up as an impulse buy after a full day spent at the Fontainebleau’s spa Lapis during my bachelorette weekend in Miami and I’ve been using them ever since. Most of us have a tendency to wear a hair elastic on our wrist and these are actually attractive enough to pass for a bracelet. Any beauty products that you’re loving right now that are worth checking out?
