Bastide

January 14, 2019

If there was ever a time I wished you could smell the products I’m posting about, it would be now. French heritage beauty brand Bastide has recently been relaunched under the fashionable and fabulous expertise of legendary beauty powerhouse Frederic Fekkai and his wife Shirin von Wulffen, a veteran luminary of the fashion industry herself. Rooted in the beauty and ambiance of Provence, Bastide is a line of expertly crafted fragrances, body care items, candles, and potpourri. Created utilizing traditional Provençal techniques and utilizing local, clean and natural ingredients that are safe for the whole family, the products are developed and produced in France with obvious love and attention to detail.

I received a lovely little treat of the Rose Olivier body wash and Provence soap and was so blown away by the incredible fragrance and quality that I had to share them right away. The scent is nothing short of perfection. Powerful yet not overwhelming, the unexpected yet totally gorgeous combination of the rose bush and olive tree envelopes you in a sweet and subtle feminine fragrance. With Bastide being non-toxic and crafted with natural ingredients, its safe, gentle, and nourishing for the skin.

With just the smallest introduction to Bastide involving just these two products, I’m already hooked on the line. I can’t wait to try even more of the products that make up the fragrance and body care portions of the line, and even scoop up one of their beautiful candles that come in a hand blown bubble class holder. Even the potpourri scented crystals are housed in a chic little glass case that is inspired by the terracotta tiles that adorn many a Provençal roof.

For those wanting a taste of Provence at home, or simply looking for beautifully scented products that are safe, gentle, and very well made, you should absolutely treat yourself to some goodies from Bastide. I know I will, and I’m also looking forward to experiencing their other undoubtably gorgeous scents like Figue Amour, Ambre Maquis, and Neroli Lumière.
