For the first time in 26 years, Tiffany & Co. has updated their iconic Atlas collection with the addition of Atlas X. This bold and modern take on the original collection that launched in 1995, Atlas X is a sparkling reinterpretation of one of Tiffany & Co.’s most loved collections. The Atlas collection is inspired by the famed clock that sits above the entrance of the Tiffany Fifth Avenue flagship store. Done in 18k gold and sterling silver with some pieces featuring pavé diamonds, the collection features a Roman numeral motif that is intended to be a reminder to take time in your own hands and treasure what matters most.
There are three motifs that feature in Atlas X: Closed, X, and Open. Knife edge profiles – a code of Tiffany & Co. since the introduction to the Tiffany Setting engagement ring in 1886, are featured in the Closed and Open styles. This leads to a more magnified scale that results in a bold, visual impact. Roman numerals incised in the pieces create reflections and shadows that emphasize the piece’s strong silhouette. As for the X style, it features an elegant and modern criss-crossing design. Within the three ranges, there are multiple pieces that feature scintillating diamond accents. The diamonds’ tight setting minimize the appearance of metal between stones and maximize the visual impact of these sparkling gems.
For those interested in viewing Atlas X, the Closed assortment is currently available in the U.S., Canada, China and at the global Tiffany & Co. flagship store. Come April, the full assortment of Atlas X Jewelry will be available worldwide.
