I love this slightly distressed vintage army shirt. It’s great tucked into a pair of jeans like with this look or it’s totally versatile as a layering piece. I actually snagged it at a military surplus store. I’d been on the hunt for this style of shirt for a while and came upon this great option when back in Philly for wedding dress shopping. After seeing it in the window and discovering the store was closed, my super sweet father went back another day to pick it up for me and shipped it to Montreal. It’s amazing what you can find in a military surplus store – this is one of my favorite finds. You should always be open-minded about where you shop, you never know where you’ll stumble upon a great find. This style of shirt was produced by countless designers and companies, from Balmain to ASOS you’ve been able to find an incarnation of this style all over the place. However, I snagged mine for $4.99 and could care less that it doesn’t come with a designer label on the inside. Achieving great style isn’t about spending a ton of money, instead it’s about following your sartorial intuition and finding the styles and shapes that work best on you.
I’m off to Philly tomorrow actually for the next week. I can’t wait to share all the fun things I’ll be doing with you darlings. There’s a trip to New York planned to do some wedding shoe shopping, lots of yummy dinners to be had, and spending time with friends and family. Hopefully the poodle and Darling Fiance won’t eat too much pizza in my absence.
