I guess I’m having a heart moment with two outfit posts featuring heart printed tops back to back. This sweater was the one “practical” item that I picked up when I was back in the States. Practical for the fact that winter is still alive and well here in Montreal. Friends in the States have been regaling me with tales of temperate days and non-chill-inducing nights. In a few weeks, Darling Fiance and I will be venturing to Washington DC for a long weekend. I started university in this great city and ended up staying even after I ended up changing the path I was on education-wise. DC has so many amazing (and crazy/ridiculous/insane) memories for me. From days as a sorority girl at American University and later a buyer for a Georgetown boutique, to nights spent hopping from parties at Embassies to the killer club scene downtown (and always ending up at after hours parties at The Russia House with a crew of assorted shall-not-be named athletes), DC will always hold a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to be back enjoying one of my favorite cities with Darling Fiance, spending time catching up with dear friends, checking out the new boutiques that keep popping up, and enjoying all my favorite former haunts.
