I’ve long toyed with the idea of whispy bangs (think Jane Birkin and Brigitte Bardot) but my long hair is basically my adult version of a security blanket. I’ve never been anything but a blonde and I’ve never strayed from my long cut. I’m basically a big weenie when it comes to even the thought of change in my hair routine. Enter the award-winning Didact Hair Building and their signature custom clip-in franges (bangs). During our trip to Paris, I convinced Darling Husband that a trip to this famous Parisian hair salon was just as important as visiting the Musee D’Orsay….because, really it was. What makes these clip-in hair pieces so unique is that they are custom dyed and cut for each client and made from real hair instead of the more common synthetic pieces that you find. After I was seated with a cup of tea, one of their expert colorists came to consult with me regarding my hair color so that she could craft the perfect color for my frange. And craft she did….the color that she created is spot on. She even wove in some roots so that I would be able to get more use out of the hair piece instead of the color appearing as if I had freshly come from having my color touched up. After the frange was dyed and blow dried, stylist Hugo joined me to discuss what cut would best suit my face. After a few moments of snipping away, Hugo clipped in my custom frange and I was blown away. The color was seamless and thanks to being made from real hair, the frange looked totally natural and totally wonderful.
