As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, Tuesday night we went to a charity fashion show. It was the 2nd Edition of Defile De Mode in support of Le Theatre du Nouveau Monde, one of the premier French language theaters in Quebec. The show featured prominent Quebec designers Martin Lim, Anastasia Lomonova, Christian Chenail, Helmer, Iris Setlakwe, Isabelle Elie, Marie Saint Pierre, Melissa Nepton, Michel Desjardins, and Yves Jean Lacasse. Interspersed between the designers collections were monologues from the theater’s repertoire performed by some of the company members. Hands down, the highlight of the evening for me was seeing the latest collection from the design duo behind Martin Lim. Danielle Martin and Pao Lim produced yet another collection of beautifully constructed and refined pieces. After seeing these latest pieces, my bank account should be worried about my resolution to only buy Canadian while in Canada. I have a feeling the little black dress from the photo above will be making it’s way into the closet in the near future…and maybe a few more pieces as well.
