Since its release in 2019, the CHANEL 19 bag has become one of the most coveted styles from the House. Done in both leather and special fabrications like tweed, boutiques had have trouble keeping them in stock since they were unveiled. I, like many others, instantly fell in love with the style when it was released. While I originally planned on picking it up in a classic neutral leather, the moment I saw it come down the runway in an elegant tweed I was obsessed. I unfortunately missed out on the first tweed CHANEL 19 release since they sold out so quickly, but I wasn’t going to miss out on a future special release. When this stunning tweed interwoven with a delicate CHANEL ribbon style came out, it was love at first sight. And lucky for me, the incredible SA that I work with at the CHANEL boutique here in Montreal at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy texted me as soon as she was able to secure one for me!
The CHANEL 19 features a top handle and long chain making it perfect for both crossbody wear and for carrying on your arm. It also features the famous interlocking CC’s on the front and mixed metal hardware. It clearly takes inspiration from CHANEL’s most classic styes, the 2.55 and Classic Flap, but it stands on its own as a fresh and modern piece. I particularly love how versatile my tweed CHANEL 19 bag is. It’s an incredibly elegant bag but can look just as amazing with a pair of jeans as it does with a more polished look like I’ve shown here. One of my favourite features is the aforementioned long chain. I love being able to wear my bags crossbody, especially when I’m with madam. Having the ability to free up my hands while still wearing a beautiful bag is such a valuable selling point for me. However, I enjoy carrying it by its top handle just as much, and find it to be a wonderful weight. It’s definitely a substantial bag, but it isn’t too heavy, making it a bag that I have kept reaching for since I first picked it up. Not just a beautiful piece, this tweed CHANEL 19 bag is in fact one of my most practical purses!
