Surprise Bridal Shower

This past Sunday I found out just how sneaky my soon to be mother-in-law and future family can be. She, with the help of the rest of the amazing women that have become such a wonderful part of my life, surprised me with a gorgeous bridal shower. To make the day even more special, my mum and aunt even got in on the action by surprising me by coming up from the States to attend. Note the totally shocked face in the candid photo below. I thought I was walking into a couples brunch at the country club with friends, instead I walked in to a packed room of smiling faces. I’m still amazed at how my future mother-in-law was able to pull off and plan such a stunning event from another province. From the beautiful location and wonderful decor, to the yummy food and flowing champagne, it was truly a very special day.

The four other amazing ladies that make up my jumbo bridal party. How stinking gorgeous are they? They’re amazing young women who I’m so excited to officially call cousin in a few months. Note the crown. They gave me this as part of a hysterical and amazingly thoughtful gift to help remind Darling Fiance that I’m the queen of the house. Clearly I didn’t remove it till bed time late that night.

Another component of the gift the girls gave me was this pair of glasses that makes my most oversized sunnies look positively tiny in honor of my not so inner fashionista. Not the most flattering photo, but definitely one of the funniest of the day. Hope you had a lovely weekend darlings!
