Luxe Hippie?
A hippie I am not. You won’t find me attaching any cute little fox tails to my purse, feathers in my hair, or throwing on a long flowered dress with an upper arm cuff. Don’t get me wrong, this look can be divine on some girls, but for this Westmount girl, I would end up looking like I was on the way to a costume party. However, like any good hippie, I love a comfy caftan and what better way to show this then with this gorgeous Missoni version. I know everyone, myself included, went a little nuts for the Missoni for Target collaboration, but after comparing the material of the Target version against the pieces I have in my closet, there’s just no comparison. The team behind Missoni is genius when it comes to the creation and manufacturing of the fabrics they use. They end up looking bohemian and luxe all at the same time, and I personally think that is what imbues the line with such a gorgeous feel and loyal following. I wore this outfit for a lunch with four of my seven bridesmaids, their mothers, my future mother-in-law and the two adorable little ones who will be the flower girls for my wedding. We had a delicious lunch, lots of fun chatting about plans, and I can’t wait till my mum and other bridesmaids can join in on the fun. And in case you’re wondering, yes…I know I have a huge bridal party. How’s your week going darlings?

Thanks Meagan, it’s one of my favorite items in my closet…turns the most basic outfit around!
My goodness you have a HUGE wedding party. Why not, I say! Love the kaftan. I saw a poncho in a similar style (Missoni esque) in Anthropologie the other day. Loved it, though sadly it was waaay out of my prince range. Was this a Target buy or Missoni proper?

I am excited to join in on the fun, yet also a bit frightened. I think your wedding might put me in therapy =P
